US Forged Rings Selects Hertford County, North Carolina for

Major Manufacturing Investment in Phases 1 and 2

HERTFORD COUNTY, N.C., February 26, 2026 — US Forged Rings (USFR) is proud to announce the selection of Hertford County, North Carolina, as the location for its Phase 1 and Phase 2 manufacturing investment, marking a major milestone in the company’s strategy to expand domestic production of specialty steel products and large-scale industrial components.

The Hertford County project is part of a broader three-phase development with total planned investment potential of up to $875 million. The first two phases are expected to create up to 625 new full-time jobs, establishing a significant new manufacturing platform in northeastern North Carolina, evidencing USFR’s long-term commitment to U.S. industrial growth.

USFR’s planned facility will support the manufacture of specialty steel products and large-diameter fabricated components used in critical sectors including power generation, industrial infrastructure, and other strategic applications. By building this domestic capacity, USFR will reduce the nation’s reliance on imported products, strengthen supply-chain resilience, and improve certainty in the delivery of essential infrastructure and industrial projects.

Hertford County was selected because it offers a rare combination of industrial and logistical advantages well suited to USFR’s long-term operating model. The site’s adjacency to Nucor’s Hertford County steel facility, along with access to water transportation via the Chowan River, support efficient production and shipment of oversized finished products. These location advantages are expected to enhance execution effectiveness and support future expansion.

“This investment represents an important step in our mission to strengthen American manufacturing capability in critical steel products,” said Giacomo Sozzi, President and CEO of US Forged Rings. “Hertford County offers the strategic location, industrial ecosystem, and workforce potential needed to support a world-class operation. We are excited to invest in this region, create high-quality jobs, and build a long-term manufacturing platform that serves both our customers and the broader national interest.”

USFR views this project as more than a facility investment. It is also the beginning of a long-term partnership with Hertford County and the surrounding region. The company looks forward to working closely with state and local leadership, workforce-development partners, educational institutions, and community stakeholders as the project advances through development, construction, and future operations.

Additional updates regarding project milestones, workforce initiatives, and implementation timing will be shared as the development moves forward.
